40 x Photos that make you want to visit Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is one of our favourite countries in the world. It is for sure in our top 3 countries we ever visited and in this blog, you’ll see why. We spent more than 5 weeks traveling through the country, spending our time enjoying the greatest viewpoints, surfing, hiking, visiting national parks and more. Of course, we wouldn’t be photographers if we didn’t bring our camera gear. So, together with our own tuktuk from TuktukRental and our camera gear we traveled through Sri Lanka capturing every moment. These are our favourite Sri Lanka photos.

Tip: Would you like to rent your own tuktuk as well? Rent a tuktuk with the code TuktukSD via TuktukRental and receive 5% off!

Nature in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka, often referred to as the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean,” is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and biodiversity. For a country so small, this island has an incredible variety of landscapes, ecosystems, and wildlife. Tropical rainforests, waterfalls, a rich wildlife, endless tea plantations, golden beaches and incredible mountains make Sri Lanka one of the most beautiful countries we’ve ever seen.

People of Sri Lanka

The people in Sri Lanka are some of the loveliest people we met. They’re welcoming, kind and extremely helpful. Even though the country was in a big crisis during our visit, most locals would do everything to help us. We asked some locals if we could take a picture, and everyone said yes. Some of our favourite Sri Lanka photos are photos of the locals.

Sri Lanka’s Wildlife

Wildlife in Sri Lanka can be spotted everywhere. You can just be driving towards your destination when suddenly an elephant crosses the road. There are a lot of safari parks as well, where you can spot other animals like leopards, crocodiles and more!
