Nature in Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka, often referred to as the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean,” is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and biodiversity. For a country so small, this island has an incredible variety of landscapes, ecosystems, and wildlife. Tropical rainforests, waterfalls, a rich wildlife, endless tea plantations, golden beaches and incredible mountains make Sri Lanka one of the most beautiful countries we’ve ever seen.
Pristine beaches
Sri Lanka is an island and that means a great coastline. Sri Lanka’s is surrounded by beautiful beaches, bays and coral reefs. Some places are perfect for surfing, some are perfect for snorkelling or spotting whales.
People of Sri Lanka
The people in Sri Lanka are some of the loveliest people we met. They’re welcoming, kind and extremely helpful. Even though the country was in a big crisis during our visit, most locals would do everything to help us. We asked some locals if we could take a picture, and everyone said yes. Some of our favourite Sri Lanka photos are photos of the locals.
Sri Lanka’s Wildlife
Wildlife in Sri Lanka can be spotted everywhere. You can just be driving towards your destination when suddenly an elephant crosses the road. There are a lot of safari parks as well, where you can spot other animals like leopards, crocodiles and more!
